If you’re experiencing sudden vision changes, eye pain, or injury, EyeSite Vision Center offers same-day emergency care during business hours—no referral required.

We accept walk-in emergency visits during regular office hours. Calling ahead helps us prepare, but it’s not required. We do not offer after-hours emergency care.
If your symptoms occur outside our hours, please visit a nearby facility such as Live Urgent Care (609 Washington St), CityMD Hoboken (231 Washington St), or CarePoint Health – Hoboken University Medical Center (308 Willow Ave).

If you’re asking, “Should I get this checked out?” the answer is probably yes. Common eye emergencies include:
Sudden or partial loss of vision
Flashes of light or new floaters
Eye trauma or impact
Foreign object in the eye
Eye pain, pressure, or redness
Chemical exposure
Signs of infection (redness, discharge, light sensitivity)
Swelling around the eye or eyelid
If you're unsure, call us. We can help you decide if immediate care is needed.
Our licensed optometrists will:
Review your symptoms and medical history.
Perform a focused eye exam using slit-lamp microscopy, retinal imaging, or intraocular pressure testing as needed.
Provide treatment or refer you for further care if necessary.
You'll leave with answers, next steps, and a care plan tailored to your condition.
