Pediatric Eye Exams in Hoboken, New Jersey
Vision development starts early. Our exams help children see clearly, learn confidently, and stay on track, starting as young as 3 months old.

Children Should Have Their First Eye Exam by 6 Months, Then Regularly as They Grow
We recommend a child’s first eye exam at 3 months of age, followed by another around age 3, then again before starting school. After that, we advise annual eye exams to track vision changes as your child grows.

Pediatric Eye Exams Assess Vision & Early Risk Factors
Our exams are tailored to each child’s age and developmental stage. We assess:
Visual clarity (even in pre-verbal children)
Eye alignment and muscle coordination
Depth perception and eye tracking
Risk factors for amblyopia (“lazy eye”), strabismus (eye turn), and myopia
We use child-friendly testing methods and a calm, supportive approach that helps kids and parents feel at ease.
Our Myopia Control for Children Includes Ortho-K, MiSight®, & Atropine Drops
We specialize in pediatric myopia management to help slow the progression of nearsightedness and reduce long-term eye health risks. We may recommend:
Orthokeratology (ortho-k) lenses worn overnight
MiSight® soft contact lenses
Atropine eye drops
At Eyesite Vision Center, our team will walk you through your options and recommend what’s best based on your child’s prescription, age, and lifestyle.

Early Detection Identifies Vision Problems Before Symptoms Appear
Children may not realize their vision is impaired, and many issues show no obvious symptoms. Left untreated, some conditions can lead to permanent vision loss.
Regular eye exams allow us to detect problems early and intervene while treatment is most effective.
