Eyeglass Lens Options for Every Lifestyle

At Eyesite Vision Center, there are many eyeglass lens types available. Our doctors and optical team take your lifestyle, prescription, and visual needs into account when recommending the right lenses. Here are some of the most common options:

Transition Lenses

Made with dynamic materials, transition lenses automatically adjust to the light around you. They darken outdoors and return to clear indoors, allowing them to double as prescription sunglasses while blocking UV rays.

Scratch-Resistant Coating

This transparent coating helps shield lenses from everyday scratches, keeping vision clear and extending lens life. Scratch-resistant coatings are especially helpful for children’s glasses and active lifestyles.

UV Coated Lenses

UV coatings can be added to regular eyeglasses unless the lenses are polycarbonate, which already provides UV protection. Because the coating is transparent, UV-coated lenses look just like standard lenses while providing invisible defense against harmful rays.

Anti-Glare Lenses

Also called anti-reflective lenses, these are dipped in a special coating to reduce reflections and improve clarity. By minimizing light scatter, they allow more light to pass through, resulting in sharper vision. We can also add a blue light filter with anti-glare lenses to help protect your eyes from digital eye strain.

Tinted Sunglass Lenses

Tinted lenses give prescription glasses the look and function of sunglasses, helping block UV rays and reduce glare. While they aren’t true sunglasses, tinted lenses are a practical option for patients who want extra outdoor comfort.

Don’t settle for basic lenses when your glasses can protect your eyes, reduce strain, and stay clearer for longer. We will match your prescription with lens treatments that fit your lifestyle, so you see comfortably, wherever life takes you.
