Dr. Jingyi (Alice) Tang, O.D., M.S.
Dr. Jingyi Tang grew up in Nanjing, China, and moved to the United States for her studies. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bryn Mawr College before earning a dual Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science in Vision Science degree from the New England College of Optometry. During her training, she was awarded the President’s Scholarship and received the Qais Farjo, MD Memorial Travel Grant at the ARVO 2021 Annual Meeting.
Dr. Tang’s passion for eye care is rooted in her personal experience. Her father lost most of his vision in one eye because of an eye condition when she was a child. This inspired her to pursue optometry, a career she finds both meaningful and rewarding. She has been practicing for three years, with a focus on myopia control and primary care.
Committed to giving back, Dr. Tang provides free eye screenings in Hoboken several times a year and has also volunteered at Sunrise Senior Living in Haverford, PA.
Outside of work, Dr. Tang enjoys Chinese dancing, playing piano, table tennis, and cooking. Having been the first in her family to move to the U.S. for college, she carries her family’s support and encouragement with her in both her personal and professional life.
